Does Garage Floor Coating Work?
Coating epoxy floor garage is as important as going to battle with the proper ammunition and full battle gear. Because of acid, oil and grease, floor garages are one of the most easily-damaged and corroded. Therefore, it is important to put epoxy floor garage.
However, it is important to note that not all floor garages are capable of being coated. Having a pre-sealed concrete floor garage will not suit to coating floor garage. Since it has been pre-coated with a sealant, any consequent coating, paint or sealant will simply slide of the surface, as when water is poured on the surface, the water will simply bead up. Coating floor garage will only work once the pre-sealed concrete has corroded or degraded. Dirty or dusty concrete floor garages does not support coating floor garages also. Dust particles and other dirt and powdery substances prevent the coating from sticking to the concrete. Poorly-applied floor paint may have to be stripped down to its concrete floor garage. Pre-painted floor garages does not work well with sealants or epoxy garage floor coating. Weather, temperature and humidity are also factors in considering coating floor garages. The warmer the temperature or the more humid the air, the less likely will the coating seal properly.
Coating floor garage may cost you extra money. But your garage floor will last longer with coating and thus, coating floor garage will eventually save you the money from re-flooring the whole floor garage.
